A bug-out bag is an emergency kit designed to get you through 72 hours till help arrives or you make it to a safe place. It should be the first project any new prepper starts. There is no one bug-out bag list that will work for everybody, for instance somebody putting together a bag in Minnesota is going to include more cold weather gear then somebody in Texas. The key is stocking your bug-out bag is to cover the basics first then add in items that are tailored to your individual needs and that of your location.
A good basic first aid kit for you buy-out bag is essential and should also cover not just first aid but also preventive measures such as face masks for pandemics. A bug-out bag first aid kit must be small and lightweight to allow you to bug-out or get home quickly.
